STAMP COLLECTING:

Hello Ladies, is there anyone near Niagara Falls area who could help out?
One of our airwoman has three large boxes of stamps. They are not clipped as she has arthritis in her hands. She lives in Niagara Falls and doesn’t go to reunions. Is there anyone living close by who could pick them, clip them and take them to Ottawa next year? She would really like to donate them to us. If you can help please click here to contact Flo.

To see details about the preparation of the stamps themselves, click here

We donate these stamps to Oxfam Canada. To find out more about Oxfam click here.

Comments on Dorie's story in the March newsletter - Maisie writes:

Hi, mine is a similar story in a way.  I was going from Parent on leave, got on the CPR train in Montreal, and was sick as a dog with sinus condition. As soon as the train pulled out I laid down with my purse as my pillow and feel asleep.  I woke several hours later and two older gentlemen were sitting in the seat across from me. They said they watched over me as whenever the train jerked I would just about roll off the seat so they couldn't rest untill they knew I was okay.  I thanked them.

To make a long story short, by the time I got to Brandon, Manitoba, with the difference in climate and sea level my sinus had practically dissappeared. Fondly remembered those old duffers. (now I'm one, lol)

Just a note for West Coasters. Not for Eastern Travel. Alaska Air accepted our CF Cards on our recent trip to Mexico.

Kathleen (Vicky) Salkeld :

I was stationed at Mont Apica in 1963. While there I bought two 45 RPM records. One is Je Me Sens Bien by Petula Clark and the other Chance by Sylvie Varten. Both had been on the French radio station hit list. Just wondering if anyone would like to have them? Contact Vicky at neilham@shaw.ca.
