There will be a 10% discount code from one of the airlines, put on the website in July of 2018 in time for flight bookings.

Don’t forget to use your CF1 card for one free piece of checked luggage at the airport. If you don''t have your CFOne card yet, click here to go to the CFOne website.

We hope to be able to get a group rate for some of the local tourist attractions. We will post some of the attractions and costs when it is closer to the event.

Well Ladies, it's finally here, the Reunion 14 Registration page! To go to our webpage and see it click here.

You may have noticed a lot of “click here” links in the newsletter. That is to reduce the size of the email you receive in your mailbox. If you see a word that is blue and underlined you can click on it to see where it goes.

Have you visited our RCAF Airwomen website lately? On the left hand side of the page you can find search buttons. We have a calendar, in which we can put your local luncheons and events for others to find. You can also find all the newsletters for the past two years. We have added the FAQ (Frequently Asked Questions) page, which we will update as we receive multiple questions about the same thing. There is a Join/Amend button in case you move or get a new email address, or encounter a friend that wants to become a member. To go to the website click here.

Message from Flo Reid - I have been asked to provide details about  the stamp collection and the preparation  of  the stamps themselves.
We donate these stamps to Oxfam Canada and the sale of these help to support projects in parts of Africa and the Americas.  A list of previous projects can be found on the Oxfam website click here.

All new and used Canadian, foreign and commemorative stamps are acceptable.

1. Check to make sure there are no tears in the stamp, no tape over it, no damaged corners, etc.

2. Cut stamps off envelope leaving a border around the stamp of at least 1 cm or ¼ inch unless there are special markings which should be included.  It would be appreciated if you would cut the stamps rather than tearing them as I have to clip them for Oxfam.  Big job!!

3. Hand cancellations are more desirable than machine cancellations.

4. Special markings on envelope e.g: postage due or no such address.

5. Commemorative stamps (more desirable) – stamps which honour people, places or events.  Christmas stamps fall into this category.

To date, I have collected 15,500 stamps from various organizations in Calgary.  Special thanks to our ex-military ladies in Calgary who donated almost 4,000 of these.  If you require additional information, please click here.

Claudine (Perrin) Kovac - Listen to Claudine tell her story. Click here and press the play button.

We are hearing some amazing stories from our members. Nevaida enjoyed the article about Captain Coombs in January’s Newsletter, and was inspired to write us with a story of her own time in the RCAF back in the 1950s.  Click here to read Nevaida’s story.

If you would like to share your thoughts or stories of your time in the RCAF, we’d love to hear from you!
