THOUGHT OF THE DAY:
"One more for the road means peeing before you leave the house."
MESSAGE FROM EXECUTIVE COMMITTEE:
We are less than 12 months out and only have 31 members registered. Another 19 have said they planned to come. Ladies, we need at least 72 members to make this reunion financially viable. If you plan to attend, please let us know by June 15th. Thank you!
I was asked to check for ground transportation from the mainland to PEI. For those ladies who are interested in travelling by bus to the reunion from the Maritimes check out the following link: Travel by bus to PEI
Round trip Senior prices from New Brunswick and Nova Scotia to Charlottetown by Maritime Bus Service range from $84 to $174 with taxes and fees in. If you are coming as far away as Edmunston, NB, the price goes up to about $225 round trip. One way tickets work out to be more expensive. You are allowed to bring two pieces of luggage for free per person.
Register here: R16 registration form (If you are not a member, you must be a guest of a member to attend. Please include the name of the person you are accompanying.
You don't have to be a member of the RCAF Airwomen's Reunion to attend a luncheon in your local area. If you are interested in meeting up with women you may have served with or whom served at the same time as you, get in touch with the facilitators to see what it's all about.
Some luncheons are monthly, year round. Some have their own annual schedules.
Our next lunch meeting will be on June 14th at the Northgate Seniors Center in Edmonton at 1:00 pm. We hope as many as possible can attend and of course husbands or significant others are always welcome. Any questions, please call me, Elke Carr, at 1-780-912-9242 or e-mail me at firstname.lastname@example.org.
Our next PEI Military Ladie’s Luncheon is being held at O’Shea’s Pub and Eatery, 47 Anderson Road in Kinkora on Wednesday 14 June beginning at 12:00. We have decided among us that we will not have luncheons in July and August but will resume in September. If you are interested in attending, please contact Debbie Reid at email@example.com
