MESSAGE FROM EXECUTIVE COMMITTEE:
Hello Ladies, We have heard that a few of you may be having issues with our newsletter delivery service. Please let us know if you or someone you know is having problems with the emailed copy of the newsletter. Don't forget to check the Junk folder. Contact us here.
Some of the executive committee members had the pleasure of attending local luncheons in April. Tracey Everett and Jackie Sparrow attended the Dartmouth, NS luncheon on the 25th. Leah Mosher went to the Kingston, ON luncheon on the 26th. Many thanks to the organizers for inviting us! It was lovely to meet you and share memories.
We were able to provide more information regarding the progress of the reunion planning, answer questions and hand out registration forms for those who don't have access to the internet.
Based on the results of our telephone calls thus far, to update the nominal roll, we have mailed out registration forms to some without email. However, in the meantime, if you can help each other by offering to go online and register someone without computer access, or if you can let us know if someone needs a printed version of the registration form, please contact us here.
It was wonderful to note that there was a mix of both original Air Force veterans who were in the RCAF during the 1950s and 60s, and also Airwomen who joined in the 70's, 80's and 90's. We look forward to meeting them again.
Thank you ladies for responding so quickly to our request in the April newsletter. A voluteer has generously offered to pick up the boxes of stamps from our lady in Niagara Falls and transport them to Ottawa.
To see details about the preparation of the stamps themselves, click here.
We donate these stamps to Oxfam Canada. To find out more about Oxfam click here.

REQUESTS AND COMMENTS:
Denise writes: Regarding hearing loss or tinnitus I have both after 7 years of receiving morse code and loud transmissions from aircrafts...I contacted the Veterans Affairs and was interviewed and turned down many times, I persisted and after 13 years they finally agreed to pay for my hearing aids and I now receive a small monthly compensation...So please tell the ex-airwomen affected by hearing loss to apply and re-apply until they get satifaction.
