MESSAGE FROM EXECUTIVE COMMITTEE:
Hello All You Wonderful Women
The new association is coming along nicely and most things are going relatively smoothly. There is a change in the composition of the executive. Shannon Hale has resigned as editor of the newsletter for personal reasons. I am actively searching for an editor for the newsletter and have 2 potential candidates which will be vetted in October.
A reunion committee is being formed with Cathleen Ganley heading it up. I will be meeting with her and her committee on Thursday, September 26 to discuss our requirements to make the 1st C.M.W.A. reunion a success.

ASSOCIATION INFORMATION:
The new association's newsletter will be moving to a Facebook page. It is not fully up and running yet, but if you are already a member of Facebook then you can just click on the following link to find us. C.M.W.A. You can also find the page by googling this organization "Canadian Military Women's Association.
LUNCHEONS:
If you are interested in meeting up with women you may have served with or whom served at the same time as you, get in touch with the facilitators to see what it's all about.
Some luncheons are monthly, year round. Some have their own annual schedules.

Our next lunch meeting will be on October 9th at Tony Roma's in the Londonderry Mall, 6604 137 Ave NW at 1:00 pm. EVENTS:
Women in Uniform to meet in Orleans, ON "SUCCESS!"
It went very well. Everyone enjoyed the lunch prepared by our very own Prestige Catering from the Orleans Legion.
There was a lot of laughter and a lot of reminiscing with old friends and again meeting new friends. Looking forward to this event again next year. Thank you for all the ladies that attended and hope to see you again next year if not sooner.
Ex-Servicewomen Comox, BC "EVENT THIS MONTH!"
Comox Annual (24th) Ex-Servicewomen's Luncheon will be held on Sunday October 20th 2024 from 1:30 to 4:30 pm in the upper Comox Legion Hall .
We invite former military women and those presently serving to join us. For those unable to bring a dish we suggest a donation which will go to the Legion Poppy Fund.
The fun part of the afternoon are the draws of "regifts". If you wish to participate, bring an item you no longer have use for and would like to pass on. It should be wrapped or gift bagged.
The organizing committee is doing their best to contact former participants. Please pass the word along to anyone that may be interested in attending.

*If you host a regular luncheon please contact us let us know where you are. You do not have to publish your information in the newsletter but if we know your group exists, we can contact you if ladies in their area are looking for a luncheon group to join. Thanks so much for participating!
